Chart Type Changes
Switch between different visualization types like column, area, bar, or pie charts using the same dataset for different perspectives.
Column Width Control
Adjust column width as a percentage of total allotted space. Setting to 100% fills the entire graph area with columns.
Value Axis Customization
Modify intervals, divisions, tick marks, and add prefixes or suffixes to labels for better data presentation.
Axis Formatting Features
| Feature | Value Axis | Category Axis |
|---|---|---|
| Interval Control | Yes - customizable | Limited |
| Tick Marks | Short or full width | Short or full width |
| Grid Background | Available | Not mentioned |
| Label Prefixes/Suffixes | Yes ($ billions, etc.) | Not available |
Use direct selection or group selection tools for color and formatting edits. Some manual edits persist after data changes, while others revert. Color changes typically persist, but positional changes may not.
Always duplicate your graph object before making extensive manual edits. Ungrouping the chart breaks the live data connection permanently.
