This action displays a comprehensive list of every post created for your site, providing a centralized hub for content oversight. In this example, you'll see a custom Hawaii post alongside WordPress's default "Hello World" post—the latter being automatically generated during installation and typically unnecessary for live sites.

WordPress makes post deletion straightforward yet safe. When you hover over any post in the list, a contextual sub-menu appears with several options. The Trash option, highlighted in red, serves as your primary deletion tool. However, this isn't permanent deletion—it's more like moving a file to your computer's recycle bin.

After clicking Trash, WordPress provides an immediate undo option and moves the post to a temporary holding area. Notice how the post counter updates: one published post remains active while one sits in the trash. This two-stage deletion process prevents accidental content loss—a critical safeguard for busy content managers.

To access trashed content, click on the trash view where you'll find additional options. The Restore function returns posts to their original publication status and chronological position. For permanent removal, select Delete Permanently.
