This is Margaret with Mobile Desktop. Today we will be looking at tricks of the trade in Premiere Pro. For example, I'd like this clip to begin my entire film. So, I'm going to cut it (Command + X) and close the gap. Put my playhead wherever I'd like it to fall (in this case, the beginning of the movie) and then Command Shift V. Wherever the playhead is acts as an endpoint, so I'd like it to break up this clip. Command Shift V, and now we have from here the clip I just paste-inserted and then to there. This works with clips already on the timeline, not those coming in from the Source Monitor (that would be Insert or comma).

If I want to move quickly, press "L"; the more times you press it, the faster you move. To go backwards, press "J"; the more times you press it, the faster you go. "K" stops and "S" is the space bar.

If this clip is on V3 when it should be on V1, press the Shift key and pull down. This keeps you in sync. To loop, press the Loop Symbol. To go back to the original clip, press "F" for Match Frame. If you want to override it with the other clip, press "Period" at the beginning of the clip.
