Hi, this is Margaret from Noble Desktop. Today, we're going to look at the audio effect "Fill Right with Left and Fill Left with Right". Let's listen to the song. I see one waveform is different from the other. One looks like it might be static sound and one looks like it might be good quality. I can remove the poor audio and have both channels be the good sound. It's like your headphones' right and left side, or your right and left speakers. Maybe you have camera audio with a lavalier mic or a Zoom mic. One of these sources is going to be of higher quality than the other.

I'm going to take the left channel all the way down, so now I'm only going to hear the right channel. Let me put that back. I'm going to take away the right channel and just hear the left. It sounds like the right channel is just static, so I can replace it with the left.

Let's make sure. I take away the left channel and I only hear the right side, and that's just static. So, I'm going to take away the right channel. In the effects, I'm going to write the word "left". I see "Fill Left with Right" and "Fill Right with Left". In this case, I'm going to fill the right with the left because the left is a good audio.

I'm going to double-click on that and play it. It sounds much fuller. You'll also notice the audio meters are reflecting both, they are completely identical. The waveforms don't reflect this change, but don't think of it as it's not working—clearly, it is working. This will come in handy particularly with dialogue.
