This AutoCAD tutorial walks through installing autocad help menu for offline access, covering essential tools and techniques for your projects.

Up here in the top right corner is where we have the Help menu. And this Help menu is an online help system. A lot of times, people prefer having a copy of the help environment resident on the computer.

If you'd like to have that happen for your office, you can always go to Autodesk. You can go to Products. Go to AutoCAD.

There's going to be a Support and Learning area. And then I have downloads that I want to do. You can see that I have a Service Pack One for AutoCAD.

So, I'm going to sort by AutoCAD 2017. And I can download the AutoCAD Product Help. So, I'm going to download this.

I'm going to say that I want it in English. I'm going to run the file. And it will be running that executable and installing it on this machine.

So, I'm going to let this process continue. And then we will return. Now, again, one of the benefits of having a copy of the help environment on your machine is that if your machine happens to be a laptop, you now have a copy of Help right there on your machine.

Sometimes, depending on how your office is configured, by having the help environment resident on the machine, it can decrease bandwidth utilization for your internet. So, again, I'm letting the Help file download. And then we will return to what we were doing.
